Nature Of Goods

Unless specified, all goods are to be considered as ‘used’. This means that signs of wear and minor damage are likely to be present. We undertake to mention in item descriptions only those things that may be considered to be of major structural or aesthetic concern. Of course, we will supply detailed condition description on a by item basis on request.

Please note that furniture items do not comply with the “Furniture and (Fire) Safety Regulations, 1988” unless specifically described as being compliant. Therefore, as with any vintage furniture, these items should be considered as works of art rather than as furniture items.

Twentieth Century Interiors cannot make any guarantees as to the condition of electrical fittings unless we have had items 'PAT' tested. Buyers are strongly advised to have such items examined by a qualified electrical contractor before use.

At present payment is by credit/debit card cash on collection, cheque or by bank transfer. Goods will only be released upon receipt of payment.

Postage and Delivery

Buyer to pay all delivery costs. Means and cost of delivery, as well as insurance, to be agreed on a per item basis.

We are prepared to consider requests for refunds under certain circumstances. Ordinarily we would consider such circumstances to be limited to a substantial miss-representation of the nature of the goods (see preceding section titled “Nature of Goods”) or (insured) goods damaged in transit (see preceding section titled “Postage and Delivery”). Any claims should be made to us within 7 days of delivery. Obviously, we will consider any claim in the interests of good customer service but we will decline any such request deemed to be unreasonable.
