Designed in 1956 by Yngve Ekstrom for the family firm, Swedese. Still produced in Sweden today where it is regarded as the country's most important piece of 20th century design. These are constructed from laminated oak. Thought originally to have been purchased in 1962 this cannot be verified as they have been re-upholstered and so have lost the date stamp. However, the construction of the brackets that hold the seat to the base means that these are at least 30 years old.
